Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (Bundaberg)

About the role

As a Banking Consultant in ANZ’s Retail Banking division, you will provide customers with a seamless banking experience, meeting their end‑to‑end financial needs through transactions, needs‑based conversations and digital solutions. You will deliver high‑quality service in branch, act as a role model and peer coach, and help turn satisfied customers into strong advocates for ANZ. The role may include rostered Saturday shifts to support branch operating hours.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to a significant uplift in customer engagement and advocacy and create real customer value.
• Actively participate in and support bank programs and initiatives.
• Take responsibility to ‘know your customer’ from a risk perspective.
• Ensure compliance with ANZ and branch policies and procedures.
• Deliver high‑standard customer service and act as a peer coach.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer focus – retail experience is an advantage.
• Experience using and promoting technology and digital channels.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change and ambiguity.
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Sound understanding of compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
