Banking Consultant – Hunter & Newcastle NSW

About the role

As a Banking Consultant in ANZ’s Retail Banking division, you will deliver a seamless banking experience for customers across the Hunter and Newcastle regions. You will address end‑to‑end financial needs, conduct needs‑based conversations, and educate customers on digital and traditional financial solutions while meeting compliance and accreditation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to a significant uplift in customer engagement and advocacy, creating real customer value.
• Actively participate in and support bank programs and initiatives.
• Take responsibility to ‘know your customer’ from a risk perspective.
• Ensure compliance with ANZ and branch policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer focus, preferably with retail experience.
• Experience using and promoting digital banking channels.
• Ability to multi‑task and adapt to change and ambiguity.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Sound understanding of compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
