Audit Specialist – Remote, $70‑$95/hr (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Specialist to work remotely on a part‑time contract basis. You will support Fortune 500 companies with complex accounting, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance tasks, leveraging your expertise in technical accounting standards and enterprise ERP systems.

Key responsibilities

• Construct multi‑entity and multi‑currency consolidation scenarios under ASC 810 for Fortune 500 firms.
• Prepare SEC reporting deliverables (10‑Q, 10‑K, 8‑K, proxy) for public companies with revenues exceeding $10 B.
• Design and scale SOX programs, managing environments with 300+ key controls and integrated audits.
• Author technical accounting content for ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805, ASC 740, and perform IFRS‑to‑US‑GAAP conversions.
• Collaborate with enterprise ERP platforms (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud ERP) and develop rubrics that differentiate senior technical reasoning from textbook knowledge.

Required profile

• 5+ years in corporate accounting, controllership, or technical accounting at a Fortune 500 or large public company, or at a Big 4 firm serving similar clients.
• Direct experience with SEC reporting, SOX program development, and large‑scale enterprise close cycles.
• Fluency in enterprise ERP environments and application of technical accounting standards at multi‑billion‑dollar revenue scale.
