Associate / Senior Associate – Global Financial Markets

About the role

Clifford Chance is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Global Financial Markets team in Perth. You will work on high‑profile financing transactions across Australia and internationally, collaborating with partners and colleagues worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on a wide range of financing transactions, including cross‑border and multi‑jurisdictional matters.
• Work closely with partners and colleagues across global offices to deliver seamless, integrated client solutions.
• Take an active role in transaction execution, including drafting, negotiation, and client management.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of junior lawyers and participate in knowledge sharing across the practice.

Required profile

• 2–4 years’ post‑qualification experience (UK equivalent) with a qualification in a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
• Experience in one or more areas such as general banking, infrastructure/project finance, leveraged finance, restructuring, asset finance or structured finance.
• Strong technical and transactional skills with a proven ability to deliver high‑quality legal advice.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across jurisdictions and cultures.
• Excellent academic credentials, strong commercial acumen and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑performing environment.
• Proactive approach to business development and commitment to continuous learning, mentoring and team contribution.
