Associate Director – Project Management (Water Infrastructure)

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager to step into an Associate Director position within its Perth Water Infrastructure team. You will partner with a diverse range of clients across Australia’s water sector, helping to co‑create innovative solutions that shape the future of water delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients and manage relationships with consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
• Deliver complex projects and programs, ensuring they meet client expectations, timelines and specifications.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects across the full lifecycle, including design management, tendering, contract administration, financial management, scheduling and risk management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve high‑impact results.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in project management with a genuine interest in real‑world impact.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline.
• Experience in the water and wastewater industry is highly desired.
• Proven client‑side experience across multiple sectors and ability to manage stakeholders in complex environments.

Required skills

• Project management methodologies and tools.
• Stakeholder communication, negotiation and relationship management.
• Knowledge of design management, tendering, contract administration and financial controls.
