Assistant Manager - Communications (PABX Team)

About the role

Park Hyatt Sydney is looking for an Assistant Manager - Communications to lead its communications team, which covers guest and employee communications, external communications and the hotel's telephone systems. The role sits within a luxury hotel serving exclusive clientele.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate efficient communications for guests and employees and handle external communications.
• Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Communications team.
• Provide quality service to guests and staff, and handle incoming calls with information on the hotel and activities in and around the city.
• Assist with the maintenance of telecommunication devices and systems within the hotel.
• Identify, plan and conduct training programs for employees.

Required profile

• Sufficient experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a similar environment.
• Good trainer, able to facilitate at all levels.
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality or Tourism Management desirable.

Required skills

• Well-developed communication, telephone and customer relations skills.
• Well-developed computer skills, especially MS Office, email, Opera and PABX systems.
