Hotel Manager - Waldorf Astoria Sydney

About the role

In 2027 Waldorf Astoria Sydney opens in Australia. As Hotel Manager, reporting to General Manager Marlene Poynder and sitting on the executive committee, you will oversee the hotel's daily operations, lead a diverse team of executives and department heads, and drive a culture of excellence, financial stewardship and a guest experience that reflects the brand's promise.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the hotel from pre-opening through to full operation, covering every department and every moment of the guest's stay
• Use data-driven insights and guest engagement metrics to inform decisions, guided by brand pillars
• Support budget management and adapt to changing conditions with agility
• Ensure compliance with quality and brand standards and implement initiatives that improve guest satisfaction
• Foster a workplace where team members feel empowered to grow and live Hilton's values

Required profile

• Luxury hotel manager or director of operations experience from key global cities
• Proven operational excellence and sound commercial judgement
• Outstanding communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Leadership expertise, including strong team member engagement
• Ability to turn brand into experiences for guests and team members
• High proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and public holidays
