Assistant Executive Housekeeper

About the role

Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street, a hotel in Melbourne's CBD with 244 guest rooms, a restaurant and bar, a gym and five meeting spaces, is hiring an Assistant Executive Housekeeper. The role leads a high-performing housekeeping team and ensures every corner of the hotel meets the high standards guests expect. It is open to Australian residents only or those with the legal right to work in Australia; visa sponsorship is not available.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a diverse housekeeping team to deliver consistent cleanliness and service standards.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department, keeping guest rooms and public areas to a high standard.
• Carry out regular quality inspections and drive continuous improvement.
• Run daily team briefings, allocate workloads and support roster management.
• Manage housekeeping inventory and ordering, ensuring the team has the supplies, linen and amenities needed.
• Work with Front Office, Engineering and other departments for a seamless guest experience.
• Help with team development, coaching, payroll administration and labour cost management.

Required profile

• Attention to detail and a passion for the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• A hands-on approach, leading from the front and involved in daily operations.
• Interest in numbers and financial acumen.
• Strong communication skills and a strong guest focus, able to resolve guest concerns professionally.
