Assistant Accountant – Full‑time, Sydney

About the role

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end Accounts Payable: receipting, invoice posting, expense reimbursements, vendor creation and payment forecasting.
• End‑to‑end Accounts Receivable: managing the AR ledger, collections calls, receipt allocations, credit notes and invoice generation.
• Bank and ledger reconciliations, allocations and month‑end/year‑end close activities.
• Managing the accounts inbox and handling ad‑hoc finance tasks.
• Forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Preparation of BAS/PAYG tax related duties.
• General ledger management and month‑end reporting.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2+ years experience in an Assistant Accountant role with full AP and some AR exposure.
• Experience using SAP or other large ERP systems.
• Ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
