Architect – AI‑Driven Residential Design (3‑month contract)

About the role

This 3‑month contract is for an architect who wants to move beyond hand‑drawing and help build a software‑driven residential construction venture. You will work directly with the founder to turn floor‑plan ideas into scalable, assembly‑ready homes using AI and parametric tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop floor plans, interior layouts and design variations at scale across the residential portfolio.
• Build and maintain parametric libraries and logic that turn a single plan into many buildable versions.
• Create AI‑native workflows using Claude Code to generate permutations and compress design cycles from weeks to afternoons.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable and assembly‑ready, linking every line to downstream steel, timber and freight considerations.
• Absorb the majority of the design workload so the founder can focus on commercial negotiations.

Required profile

• Mid‑career architect with hands‑on experience delivering real projects and managing construction timelines.
• Deep understanding of construction costs and the practical constraints of building.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving start‑up environment and collaborating directly with the founder.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit, Rhino, ArchiCAD and Grasshopper.
• Advanced use of Claude Code (AI coding tool) for automating design tasks.
