Analyst / Associate – Credit Management

About the role

MUFG is seeking an Analyst or Associate to join its Australian Corporates Credit Management team. The role supports credit origination, ongoing portfolio management and risk monitoring for corporate and institutional clients across Oceania.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct annual credit reviews, internal rating updates and covenant compliance monitoring.
• Support Relationship Managers with credit approvals, deal structuring, financial analysis and preparation of credit submissions.
• Coordinate with on‑shore and off‑shore teams to deliver timely credit reviews and portfolio management tasks.
• Undertake economic and industry research to inform portfolio strategy and risk assessments.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years’ experience for Analyst level or 4‑7 years for Associate, in corporate/institutional lending, debt advisory, credit rating, or related fields.
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce or Law; advanced qualifications (Masters, MBA, CFA) are a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work independently across multiple work streams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the full suite of Microsoft Office products.
• Experience using data, research and AI‑enabled tools (e.g., Copilot) for analysis.
• Credit writing, financial modelling and analysis, and knowledge of legal documentation and debt structuring.
