Analyst / Associate, Credit Management

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is seeking an Analyst or Associate to join its Australian Corporates Credit Management team. Based in Sydney, the role supports credit review, monitoring and portfolio management for corporate and institutional clients across Oceania.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct annual credit reviews, internal rating updates and covenant compliance monitoring.
• Support Relationship Managers with credit approval processes, including deal structuring, credit submissions and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with on‑shore and off‑shore MUFG teams to deliver timely credit reviews and portfolio tasks.
• Undertake economic and industry research to inform portfolio strategy.

Required profile

• 1‑7 years of experience in corporate/institutional lending, debt advisory, credit rating, or related fields.
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce or Law; advanced qualifications (MBA, CFA, Masters of Finance) are a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work independently across multiple work streams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the full suite of Microsoft Office products.
• Experience in credit writing, financial analysis and modelling, and legal documentation for debt structures.
