Client Onboarding Specialist Analyst

About the role

MUFG is seeking a Client Onboarding Specialist to join its GCIB Middle Office team in Sydney. You will manage the end‑to‑end onboarding journey for corporate and financial institution clients, ensuring a seamless experience that supports revenue‑generating activities.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the full onboarding process from initial client engagement through document preparation to final account setup, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate internal resources, resolve issues promptly, and communicate onboarding requirements clearly to clients, Relationship Managers and KYC teams.
• Gather, review and submit all required documentation (KYC, board resolutions, account opening forms) and ensure accurate capture of fees and pricing in systems before go‑live.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of client onboarding experience in the banking sector, specifically with corporate and financial institution clients.
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce or Law from a recognized university.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of KYC requirements and related regulatory checks such as FATCA, CRS and OTC regulations.
• Experience preparing and reviewing onboarding documentation for accuracy and compliance.
