Analyst Relationship Manager – Japanese Corporates

About the role

This position is part of MUFG's Japanese Corporates team in Sydney, supporting senior relationship managers in delivering exceptional service to Japanese corporate clients operating in Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with Japanese corporate clients and assist senior managers in expanding relationships.
• Support account management tasks, including monitoring revenue targets, balance sheets, and handling client inquiries.
• Facilitate client onboarding, documentation preparation, and operational coordination.
• Collaborate with transaction banking, global markets, risk, compliance, legal and product teams to identify business opportunities.
• Conduct market research and analysis of trends, regulatory updates, and competitor information.
• Prepare proposals, presentations and other materials for deal origination.
• Monitor client portfolios and support credit analysis and risk controls.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Commerce, Law or Accounting from a recognised university.
• Strong analytical and mathematical ability with experience in financial analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Interest in corporate banking and willingness to develop expertise in the sector.
