Air Force Lawyer – Legal Support & Travel Opportunities

About the role

Join the Australian Air Force as a Lawyer and provide essential legal support to defence leaders across the nation. You will ensure military operations and aviation activities comply with legal obligations, assist commanders with personnel matters, and help maintain an effective military justice system while enjoying travel opportunities to major bases.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice on Military Administrative Law.
• Support Military Operations Law matters.
• Handle issues related to Military Discipline Law.
• Offer specialist guidance on workplace health and safety, copyright, environmental law, financial delegations and government contracts.

Required profile

• At least 17 years old at enlistment.
• Australian citizenship.
• Tertiary qualification in Law (LLB or JD).
• Admission to practice as a legal practitioner before the Supreme Court of an Australian state or territory.
• Current practising certificate with a state or territory Law Society, or eligibility to obtain one immediately.
• Relevant work or life experience demonstrating appropriate legal skills.
