Accounts Assistant (Part-time)

About the role

We are looking for a part-time Accounts Assistant to join RJC Group’s busy office in Banksmeadow, Sydney. Working closely with our in-house accountant, you will gain hands-on experience in the financial side of a thriving construction and heritage restoration business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general administration support, handling emails and phone enquiries.
• Enter supplier, subcontractor and consultant invoices into Xero with high accuracy.
• Assist in preparing and processing client invoices.
• Support accounts payable and receivable activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Help the Accountant and Office Manager with daily tasks, month-end activities and ad-hoc duties.
• Carry out basic bookkeeping and meet tax reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Accounts Administration or Certificate IV/Diploma in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience.
• Permanent working rights in Australia.
• Construction experience is advantageous but not essential.
