Accounting Manager – Business Services

About the role

BlueRock is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its growing public practice team. You will work closely with entrepreneurial business owners, helping them navigate tax, advisory and financial challenges while developing the next generation of talent.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and mentor junior accountants, providing hands‑on guidance and regular feedback.
• Drive delivery of compliance and advisory engagements, including cash‑flow forecasting, business acquisitions/sales and specialist tax work.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular meetings and proactive communication.
• Collaborate with the Accounting supervisor and manager group to enhance service offerings.
• Identify opportunities for additional value‑added services and coordinate cross‑division projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in public‑practice accounting.
• Strong technical proficiency in tax and consulting/modelling engagements.
• Proven experience mentoring and coaching junior staff.
• Excellent knowledge of taxation legislation.
