Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

This position is responsible for month‑end finalisation and delivering KPI‑driven reporting packs for the leadership team. You will support senior finance staff and contribute to ad‑hoc analyses that inform management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Finalize month‑end accounts and ensure KPI targets are met.
• Assist senior accountant and financial controller with ad‑hoc reports and financial projects.
• Recommend and document process improvements; train team members on new procedures.
• Support system migrations and enhancements.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reconcile general‑ledger, debtor and creditor accounts.
• Respond to internal and external enquiries regarding accounts.
• Provide GL data to commercial analysts for decision‑making.
• Prepare monthly internal and external returns and contribute to quality‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• CPA/CA qualified or equivalent.
• High integrity with strong professional ethics.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Team‑oriented, flexible and organised.
• Proactive attitude with a drive for continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (spreadsheets) skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft AX (or equivalent ERP system).
• Familiarity with the Miles platform.
