Accountant – Business Advisory

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accountant to join our Business Advisory team in Port Lincoln. This position offers the chance to develop strong technical accounting skills, work with a diverse client base and grow within a supportive, people‑centric environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare clear work papers and review management accounts for accuracy.
• Identify accounting issues and apply basic tax compliance procedures.
• Support tax planning activities and prepare income tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts.
• Complete required regulatory forms and meet lodgement deadlines.

Required profile

• Business or Commerce degree with an Accounting major.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong communication, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to commence CA (or equivalent) studies.

Required skills

• Financial statement preparation.
• Tax compliance and income tax return preparation.
• Knowledge of accounting standards.
