Accountant – AFR Top 100 Advisory firm (Sydney)

About the role

We are seeking solutions‑focused accountants to join two positions within an AFR Top 100 advisory firm in Northern Sydney. This is an opportunity for high‑performing professionals to advance their careers, work with larger clients and enjoy a better work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in line with current reporting standards.
• Prepare income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships and trusts.
• Provide business services, tax planning and advisory work for high‑end SME clients.
• Apply Australian taxation and payroll tax legislation.
• Utilise MYOB and Xero for accounting and reporting tasks.

Required profile

• Business/Commerce degree with an Accounting major.
• Completion of CA (or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum 3 years of public practice experience in Australia.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial statements and complex multi‑entity trusts.
• Strong communication, attention to detail and ability to work autonomously or within a team.
