Senior Management Liability Underwriter, Financial Lines

About the role

AIG is seeking a Senior Management Liability Underwriter for its Financial Lines team in Sydney. Reporting to the Management Liability Practice Lead, you will drive growth and profitability by underwriting new and renewal business and building strong broker relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business in line with AIG guidelines and authority.
• Maintain accurate files, registers and records for reporting and policy issuance.
• Present professional proposals to brokers and lead complex underwriting projects such as broker tenders.
• Develop and sustain relationships with existing and new brokers to ensure market visibility.
• Assist in portfolio decisions following actuarial reviews and contribute to strategy setting.

Required profile

• Proven sales track record with strong understanding of the brokerage market.
• Analytical ability to manage broker profitability and collaborate with Financial Lines management.
• Experience developing broker relationships and excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Relevant insurance qualifications (e.g., ANZIIF Senior Associate) and financial lines experience are highly regarded.
