Registered Nurse – Multiple Vacancies in Neonatal & Paediatric ICU

About the role
The Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (NPICU) at the new K Block campus of the Royal Hobart Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses (and/or Registered Midwives) to join a dynamic, family‑focused team. Positions are fixed‑term, full‑time or part‑time, working up to 76 hours per fortnight.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high‑quality nursing care to infants and children across the Special Care Nursery, High Dependency Unit, NICU and PICU.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary health professionals to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and apply evidence‑based practice.
- Maintain compliance with Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board standards and legal requirements.
Required profile
- Current knowledge of nursing principles, procedures and practices relevant to neonatal and paediatric intensive care.
- Registration with the NMBA and ability to meet its standards for practice.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

- Salary range $80,524 – $109,175 per annum (pro‑rated) plus 12% superannuation.
