Head of Specialised Credit

About the role

The Head of Specialised Credit will lead ANZ's specialised credit portfolio across Emerging Corporate, Private Bank, Agribusiness and Commercial Real Estate segments. Reporting into Business & Private Bank Risk, this senior leader will shape credit strategy, ensure robust risk governance and drive sustainable portfolio growth.

Key responsibilities

• Set direction for credit risk management, portfolio quality and growth within the specialised credit line of business.
• Provide executive oversight of complex credit decisions, governance frameworks and risk appetite alignment.
• Influence enterprise‑wide credit strategy through partnerships with senior executives, regulators and key stakeholders.
• Build and nurture a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and disciplined risk management.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in credit risk, portfolio management and regulatory frameworks, preferably within private banking, emerging corporate, agribusiness or commercial real estate.
• Proven strategic risk leadership and governance capabilities.
• Strong executive stakeholder management, influencing and decision‑making skills.
• Adaptable mindset aligned with ANZ’s 2030 Strategy and ability to lead large teams through change.
