Accountant or Senior Accountant – Business Advisory (Brisbane)

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our Business Advisory team in Brisbane on a permanent basis. You will support partners by preparing compliance, tax and accounting work for a diverse range of clients, including companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns, financial statements, reconciliations and provide business advice for various client structures.
• Deliver work to a high technical standard, meeting deadlines and budget expectations.
• Assist with general bookkeeping duties as required.
• Liaise directly with the ATO and other government bodies on client matters.
• Maintain accurate, compliant work papers and client files in line with Findex Group standards.

Required profile

• Relevant degree qualification.
• Commenced or working towards CA, CPA or equivalent.
• Solid experience in an accounting role, ideally within public practice.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with confidence to liaise with clients and government bodies.
• Positive, proactive and collaborative approach, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
