Windows & SAP on Azure Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Sonata Software, an AI-first modernization engineering company, is looking for a Windows and SAP on Azure Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise environments spanning on-premises Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure infrastructure, SAP on Azure and SAP HANA. The role focuses on administration, troubleshooting, availability and integration across on-premises and Azure-hosted SAP environments. It is permanent, full-time and remote within Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server environments across on-premises infrastructure.
• Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory services, including users, groups, authentication, Group Policy, DNS and domain issues.
• Support day-to-day operations of on-premises infrastructure, including Windows compute.
• Support SAP workloads hosted on Microsoft Azure and provide infrastructure-level support for SAP HANA environments.
• Troubleshoot incidents across Windows, Active Directory, Azure, SAP application infrastructure and HANA components.
• Support hybrid connectivity and dependencies between on-premises environments and Azure.
• Participate in upgrades, migrations, patching, maintenance and operational activities.
• Monitor infrastructure health, availability, capacity and performance.
• Work with SAP Basis, Azure, network, security and application teams on complex issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures and configurations, and follow security, compliance, change management and incident management practices.

Required profile

• 10 to 15 years of experience.
• Fluent Japanese and fluent English.

Required skills

• Hands-on Windows Server administration and on-premises infrastructure.
• Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and authentication.
• Microsoft Azure infrastructure and SAP workloads on Azure.
• SAP HANA infrastructure and architecture.
• Hybrid on-premises/Azure environments and infrastructure monitoring.
• Networking fundamentals for Windows, Azure and SAP environments.
