About the role
A major Australian wealth and super organisation is seeking a Software Engineer on a 12‑month contract to build and maintain software that supports financial advice. You will work in an Agile team alongside engineers, testers and delivery leads.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, test and support applications.
- Deliver new features and ongoing improvements.
- Find and fix the root cause of issues, not just the symptoms.
- Monitor alerts and keep systems running smoothly.
- Work closely with the team to keep delivery steady and quality high.
Required profile
- Strong Java or Kotlin experience, plus JavaScript and Python.
- Full‑stack experience, including single‑page applications.
- Ideally experience in Wealth/Super or Financial Services.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra or Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with messaging technologies and basic Linux skills.
- Experience working in Agile teams.
