Welder (Municipal Trade Level 2)

About the role

The City of Hobart is looking for a qualified welder to join its skilled team at Cleary's Gates. You will carry out welding, fabrication, maintenance and repair work on Council assets, plant and equipment, working in a collaborative team with a focus on quality workmanship and safety. The position is permanent and full-time, with a fortnightly rostered day off.

Required profile

• Qualified welder with hands-on experience in TIG, MIG and arc welding across a range of metals and fabrication projects.
• Strong communication skills and a safety-first mindset.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Eligible to apply: Australian or New Zealand citizenship, Australian permanent residency, or a valid visa with appropriate work rights; visa sponsorship is not available.
