Weekend Chef - Aged Care Kitchen

About the role

Cater Care is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Weekend Chef to join its aged care kitchen team in East Perth, Western Australia. Working across Saturday and Sunday, you will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents and help run the kitchen day to day. This is a permanent part-time role for a qualified chef.

Key responsibilities

• Create and present fresh, delicious meals for residents and staff
• Support daily kitchen operations and bulk meal preparation
• Deliver friendly, efficient service
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen
• Follow food and general safety practices
• Prepare and present texture-modified foods with care and precision

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Previous experience as a chef in a commercial kitchen
• Aged care or volume catering experience is desirable
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and special dietary requirements
• Current year flu vaccination and willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check
