Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

A recruitment agency is recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor for a team based in Riverwood, NSW. The role oversees day-to-day warehouse operations and ensures the safe and effective management of the company's policies and procedures. It is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:40pm.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day warehouse operations, from receiving, picking, packing and distribution, keeping processes efficient and organised.
• Supervise the warehouse team, giving them assistance, leadership and guidance.
• Train and develop new and existing employees.
• Maintain a safe and clean workplace in line with OH&S regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
• Manage inventory control, monitor stock levels and ensure accurate records.
• Ensure accuracy of picking, packing and loading, and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for timely deliveries.
• Meet or exceed warehouse KPIs and help implement WMS, including RF scanning.
• Develop warehouse procedures to optimise processes and minimise costs, and collaborate with other departments.
• Handle administration tasks as required.

Required profile

• Prior warehouse experience is essential.
• Previous experience leading a team (minimum 2 years).
• Strong knowledge of warehousing processes, procedures and operations.
• Physical fitness is required because heavy lifting is involved.
• Current driver's licence and current forklift licence (both essential).

Required skills

• Excellent problem-solving, organisational and leadership skills.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy with experience using Microsoft programs.
