Veterinary Nurse – Part‑time Consult Focus

About the role

Greencross Vets Williamstown is seeking an experienced Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse for a part‑time, consult‑focused role. You will work closely with clients and veterinarians, championing patient advocacy and delivering exceptional care through communication and education.

Key responsibilities

• Support veterinarians during consultations and patient work‑ups.
• Conduct nurse consultations and preventative healthcare discussions.
• Build strong client relationships, providing ongoing support and education.
• Assist with treatment plans, follow‑up care and medical nursing.
• Handle client enquiries in person, email and phone, and manage appointment scheduling.
• Admit and discharge patients, manage client accounts and administrative tasks.
• Support reception and front‑of‑house operations as needed.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
• Minimum 2 + years veterinary nursing experience.
• Passion for consult nursing and client communication.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Calm, friendly, professional presence and team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with RxWorks (desirable but not essential).
