Veterinary Nurse (Casual)

About the role

Caring Vets is a small but busy general practice veterinary clinic in the Camden area, with three vets and six nurses. It is looking for a vet nurse to join on a casual basis. The clinic sees a variety of cases, including advanced surgeries such as TTA and BOAS surgery kept in house.

Key responsibilities

• Support the veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, including restraint, blood collection, IV catheter placement, anaesthetic monitoring and hospital cleaning.
• Handle customer service tasks such as booking appointments, admitting and discharging hospital patients, answering phone queries and processing payments.
• Give clients a warm and empathetic first impression in reception.
• Carry out ad hoc administrative duties.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of clinical experience.
• Commitment to excellent standards of care.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, and a positive attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with Ezyvet preferred.
