Venues Sales Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Venues Sales Manager to lead social and corporate group business for two bars and a restaurant at 1 Hotel Melbourne. The role is revenue‑focused, with a target of generating an additional $1 million in venue revenue during 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively generate new corporate and social‑event business and achieve the $1 million incremental revenue goal.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, agencies and local businesses.
• Identify opportunities for private dining, celebrations, corporate functions and exclusive venue hire.
• Conduct client meetings, venue tours and site inspections, then prepare tailored proposals.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, activity plan and revenue forecast.
• Collaborate with venue operations, culinary and marketing teams to deliver seamless events.

Required profile

• Proven success in hospitality, venue, hotel, events or corporate sales.
• Established network within Melbourne’s corporate or events market.
• Strong commercial awareness and a results‑driven, resilient approach.
• Excellent presentation, communication and relationship‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Experience using a CRM or sales‑tracking platform.

What we offer

• $80,000 base salary plus superannuation.
• $47,500 target bonus for delivering the $1 million revenue increase.
• Uncapped 12% accelerator on qualifying revenue above the target.
