About the role
We are looking for a mid‑level Unity Developer to join a fast‑growing team that creates educational mobile applications used by millions of children and families worldwide. The role is based in Australia and offers the chance to shape interactive UI experiences, optimise performance and contribute to high‑quality releases.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex mobile UI features, including screens, states, animations, adaptive layouts, onboarding flows and payment processes.
- Design and evolve UI architecture using dependency injection (e.g., Zenject) to ensure modularity and maintainability.
- Work with Unity Addressables and remote content systems for content loading, version management and production stability.
- Implement automated testing (unit and integration) and support CI pipelines to guarantee software quality.
- Profile and optimise Unity applications for performance and memory, managing garbage collection, TextMeshPro usage and allocation patterns.
- Participate in code reviews, reduce technical debt and promote best engineering practices.
- Support release processes and production environments, ensuring reliability and continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior team members and share knowledge on coding standards and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional product, design and QA teams to deliver polished mobile experiences.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing Unity applications for mobile platforms.
- Strong grasp of object‑oriented programming, SOLID principles and design patterns.
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable C# code and work with asynchronous programming (Task, UniTask).
- Experience building responsive Unity UI, using TextMeshPro, animations and complex state management.
- Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks such as Zenject.
- Hands‑on experience with Unity Addressables and remote content management strategies.
- Ability to write automated unit and integration tests and work within CI environments.
- Good problem‑solving skills and capacity to mentor teammates.
