Undergraduate Tax Consultant (Casual)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic undergraduate students to join Moore Australia’s Deals & Advisory team on a casual basis as Tax Consultants. You will gain hands‑on experience working on real‑world corporate and international tax matters while supporting senior advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior team members on tax advisory engagements, including structuring, tax planning, CGT, international tax, GST/FBT and private group issues.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing compliance deliverables such as individual and business tax returns, BAS/IAS and related ATO lodgements.
• Research tax legislation and ATO guidance and draft client‑ready advice and technical papers.
• Contribute to projects involving restructures, transactions and ATO reviews or private rulings.

Required profile

• Currently studying a degree in accounting, law or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Genuine interest in tax law and specialist taxation topics.
• Organised, enthusiastic and eager to learn continuously.

Required skills

• Tax advisory and planning.
• Capital gains tax (CGT) and international tax concepts.
• Goods and Services Tax (GST) / Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) compliance.
• Preparation of individual and business tax returns and BAS/IAS.
• Research of tax legislation and ATO guidance.
