Transport Planning Lead

About the role

The client is a leading engineering consultancy delivering complex transport infrastructure studies for Transport and Main Roads (TMR) across Queensland. This senior leadership position will own business development and project delivery for investment planning engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of tenders and proposals for TMR investment planning opportunities, including methodology development, resource planning and pricing.
• Manage the delivery of OnQ and PAF engagements as Study Manager or Project Manager.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with TMR project managers and stakeholders across districts and regions.
• Contribute to the strategic growth of the practice.

Required profile

• 15‑20 years of experience with 3‑5 years leading investment planning studies for TMR.
• Established network of TMR contacts and a track record of successful proposals and delivered engagements.
• RPEQ registration required for engineers.

Required skills

• Traffic engineering.
• Traffic modelling.
• TMR Road Safety Auditor accreditation (preferred).
• Strong relationships with SEQ councils (preferred).
