Transport Market Leader - South Australia

About the role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Transport Market Leader to drive the growth of its South Australian Transport business. The role leads a high-performing team, shapes market strategy, strengthens client relationships and positions the business across Roads & Highways, Rail, Bridges, Tunnels and Transport Planning. It sits within the leadership team and works closely with national and regional leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary transport team, fostering collaboration, inclusion and high performance.
• Drive client engagement, market positioning and business growth across South Australia.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key clients, industry partners and contractors.
• Lead major pursuits and work-winning activities, turning opportunities into project outcomes.
• Provide commercial and project governance oversight, covering quality, risk management and performance.
• Collaborate across the global Mott MacDonald network to share knowledge and support major transport initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant engineering or related field.
• Proven success winning and delivering transport infrastructure projects, ideally in Roads & Highways, Rail or related sectors.
• Significant experience in the Australian transport infrastructure sector, especially in South Australia and with agencies such as the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT).
• Established network of senior client, contractor and industry relationships.
• Experience mentoring and guiding staff to upskill.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills at all levels.
