Structural Technician / Drafter (Temporary Works)

About the role

Robert Bird Group, a member of the SJ Group, is a global consulting engineering firm specialising in structural, civil and specialist engineering. It is looking for a Structural Technician/Drafter (temporary works) to join its Adelaide team, contributing to the development and production of buildings and infrastructure projects across South Australia. The role is described as a hybrid position within a flexible, supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Draft buildings and infrastructure projects using AutoCAD and Revit
• Ensure drafting and drawing reviews meet technical standards and client and group requirements
• Deliver projects on strict timescales while meeting quality objectives
• Liaise with the engineering team, external stakeholders and clients on project specifications and details

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Design or equivalent
• 2+ years of senior structural drafting experience with an engineering design consultancy
• Proven experience delivering temporary works projects
• Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Full working rights
