Transition Project Manager – ICT (Brisbane)

About the role

The role is a temporary, fixed‑term position (until July 2027) within the Road Safety Systems Program (RSSP) in Queensland. Reporting to the RSSP Program Manager, the Transition Project Manager will oversee the hand‑over of an ICT change package from project to operational service.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate design, development and validation of the Target Operating Model with SMEs and stakeholders.
• Develop and communicate a transition plan, including documentation for key audiences.
• Support procurement and onboarding of a Managed Service Provider, defining service requirements and contract terms.
• Plan and coordinate “transition‑in” activities to establish the IT support model and new ways of working.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies and provide regular status reporting.
• Lead organisational change activities such as communications, business readiness, knowledge transfer and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in ICT project delivery.
• PRINCE2 Foundation certification and ITIL certification.
• Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) and managing transitions to operations.

Required skills

• PRINCE2 Foundation (and preferably Practitioner).
• ITIL certification.
• Experience with cloud solutions, particularly AWS.
• Knowledge of Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) products.
• IT Service Management (ITSM) expertise.
