Transaction Monitoring Analyst

About the role

OFX, a financial operations company based in Sydney, is looking for a Transaction Monitoring Analyst. You will review transaction monitoring alerts, identify and analyse financial crime activities such as fraud, money laundering and terrorist financing, and contribute to financial crime investigations. The role protects OFX and its customers and helps the company meet its regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Review alerts generated by OFX monitoring systems
• Assess customer activity against the customer profile
• Escalate money laundering and terrorist financing concerns to investigators
• Adapt to new processes and procedures and help share knowledge and train colleagues
• Contribute to a high standard of service for internal and external clients

Required profile

• Experience in transaction monitoring or financial crime investigations, ideally in the financial sector
• Understanding of red flags, criminal typologies and trends
• Ability to investigate, draw logical conclusions and explain them clearly
• Ability to prioritise work and resources, manage stakeholders and solve problems
• Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, and ability to work accurately under pressure
• Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised, with integrity and confidentiality
