Management Accountant

About the role

Unitywater is looking for a Management Accountant in Mango Hill, Queensland. You will support the Finance Business Partners and work closely with stakeholders across the business to provide financial analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting that helps leaders make better decisions. The role sits within a collaborative Finance team and offers flexible and hybrid work arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Work with business leaders to provide financial insights that support informed decision-making and improved performance.
• Support delivery of budgets, forecasts and management reporting so stakeholders receive timely, accurate information.
• Analyse financial results and performance trends, giving commentary and recommendations.
• Contribute to financial planning and continuous improvement, improving reporting tools, systems and processes.
• Support strategic and operational initiatives through strong financial governance, planning and business partnering.

Required profile

• Experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and business performance analysis.
• Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Nice to have: experience in a business partnering, FP&A or commercial finance environment, and experience supporting operating and capital expenditure budgets and forecasts.

Required skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data and recommend actions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience using ERP finance systems and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
