Trainer Assessor – Trades (Cert III in Concreting)

About the role

City-Wide Building and Training Services (CWBTS) is seeking a Trainer Assessor to deliver onsite training and assessment for apprentices undertaking the CPC30320 Cert III in Concreting. The role involves travelling between Sydney CBD and Wollongong, providing high‑quality, industry‑relevant instruction and supporting student engagement and employer communication.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training across multiple sites, including occasional overnight travel.
• Facilitate interactive, inclusive and safe learning environments for the Cert III in Concreting.
• Prepare training sessions, review plans, coordinate with students and employers, and ensure equipment and environments are safe.
• Grade assessments, return results promptly and maintain accurate records in ReadySkills, LMS and VETtrak.
• Support assessment validation, continuous improvement and ongoing communication with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Certificate III trade qualification in Concreting (or equivalent).
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience delivering apprenticeship‑based training.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, high attention to detail and effective time management.
• Valid Australian working rights, Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain), police check and driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel to training venues and worksites and to engage in ongoing professional development.

Required skills

• LMS proficiency (ReadySkills, VETtrak).
• CRM system proficiency.

What we offer

• Permanent part‑time position (31.5 hrs/week) with a salary of AUD 80,000–85,000 plus superannuation.
• Vehicle allowance of AUD 17,000 (pro‑rata) covering fuel and eTag costs.
