Trainee Bus Driver – Women Up Front

About the role

The Women Up Front Trainee Bus Driver program prepares you to become a licensed, professional bus driver serving Melbourne’s inner city and western suburbs. You will receive a blend of classroom instruction and on‑road experience, leading to a Heavy Rigid licence and a Certificate III in Driving Operations (Bus).

Key responsibilities

• Complete extensive induction training that combines classroom learning with practical driving sessions.
• Participate in on‑road experience to develop safe and confident driving skills.

Required profile

• Excellent customer service skills and enjoyment of working with people.
• Current full Australian car driver’s licence held for at least 2 years.
• Full Australian work rights (citizen or permanent resident).
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment functional assessment, drug and alcohol screening, and obtain Driver Accreditation (CPV) and Working With Children Check.
