Technical Services and Reliability Engineer

About the role

Airnorth is seeking a Technical Services and Reliability Engineer to join its Continuing Airworthiness team in Perth. The role provides technical support to ensure the safety, reliability and cost‑effectiveness of the Airnorth fleet, working full‑time Monday to Friday with occasional after‑hours duties.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all aircraft repairs and modifications comply with OEM and Part 21 instructions.
• Provide technical assistance to the Technical Services Manager for efficient fleet operation.
• Liaise with Engineering and Flight Operations on technical matters and defect troubleshooting.
• Assess Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and Engineering Orders.
• Monitor and oversee activities associated with the reliability review program.
• Evaluate aircraft systems and engine trend data downloads.
• Maintain liaison with CASR Part 21 representatives, manufacturers and regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Formal aviation‑related engineering or trade licences, or experience as LAME, or tertiary engineering qualifications.
• Sound knowledge of reliability systems and statistical analysis.
• Ability to research and prepare reports for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Knowledge of CASA regulatory requirements and aircraft maintenance programmes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with maintenance management software such as Envision, IAS, TRAX, Winair or similar.
