Toolroom Technician - PVC Pipe Extrusion

About the role

A global leader in PVC pipe extrusion is looking for a Toolroom Technician in Caringbah. The role combines tooling maintenance, machining, repairs and production support, keeping extrusion operations running efficiently and producing quality products.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and modify extrusion tooling, dies, mandrels and calibrators
• Carry out preventative maintenance and troubleshoot tooling issues
• Machine and modify components on lathes, milling machines, drills and grinders
• Prepare tooling for production changeovers and different pipe sizes
• Inspect, assemble, dismantle and refurbish tooling
• Work with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime
• Ensure tooling meets required tolerances and quality standards
• Keep the toolroom safe, clean and organised

Required profile

• Toolroom, fitting, machining or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
• Proactive approach to safety, quality and preventative maintenance
• Experience with extrusion tooling or PVC pipe manufacturing is highly regarded
