Territory Manager - Surgical Vision, Inner South East Melbourne & Hume Country

About the role

Johnson & Johnson's Surgical Vision business in Melbourne is looking for an experienced Territory Manager due to internal mobility. You will take over an established Inner South East Melbourne and Hume Country territory covering public and private hospitals and specialist day surgeries, and drive territory sales to increase market share. This is a commission-based clinical sales role.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell the range of surgical vision products to key eye specialists in the assigned territory, achieving sales revenue and increasing market share.
• Act as a consultant and trusted cataract partner, providing clinical support during procedures and in-service training and education to new users of the specialised surgical products and equipment.
• Identify new business opportunities and partner with Marketing and Professional Education to advance commercial and KOL plans with target customers.
• Handle customer queries and complaints, monitor competitor activity and market trends, recommend solutions and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a high level of surgical and industry knowledge.

Required profile

• Degree qualified with at least 2-3 years of medical device or hospital sales experience.
• Clear passion for ophthalmology, a history of strong commercial achievements and a desire to grow business and market share.
• Commercial acumen, a positive can-do attitude and excellent communication skills, able to influence stakeholders and build long-term relationships.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong organisation skills.
• Rights to work in Australia, a reliable car and a valid driver's licence.
