Terminal Operator – Casual Contract (Western Sydney)

About the role

We are seeking a Terminal Operator on a casual contract to join a busy oil & gas terminal in Western Sydney. The role starts in early October 2026 and focuses on safe, efficient and environmentally responsible site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair terminal facilities while adhering to safety and cost‑effectiveness standards.
• Manage contractor and driver safety, compliance, and site inductions.
• Act as liaison between the Control Centre, TOU and on‑site operations.
• Coordinate inventory management and measurement activities with internal and third‑party stakeholders.
• Oversee site‑based projects and contractor works.
• Witness meter proving activities and complete required documentation.
• Support mechanical and operational maintenance tasks.
• Execute work permits, maintain operational records and identify PDM improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Terminal Operator.
• Secondary/High School Diploma or college‑level qualification.
• Completion of Stage 3 Training in line with GMT standards.
• High‑level knowledge of measurement practices and product quality requirements.
• Understanding of applicable operational rules, regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
