About the role
As a Graduate Electrical Engineer at EVSE Australia, you will gain hands‑on experience designing, delivering, commissioning and supporting electric vehicle charging infrastructure across residential, commercial and fleet projects. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams to develop technical expertise while contributing to the rollout of sustainable mobility solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical input to the sales team during pre‑sales, preparing proposals, technical documentation and solution recommendations.
- Create CAD drawings and electrical designs for EV charging stations, ensuring compliance with safety, technical and regulatory standards.
- Conduct electrical feasibility studies, including power availability reviews, load calculations, energy‑management considerations and network capacity analysis.
- Configure and integrate EV chargers into software platforms and backend systems.
- Set up charger connectivity via 4G, Wi‑Fi and LAN networks and troubleshoot communication issues.
- Support onboarding of charging stations into monitoring and management platforms with internal support and operations teams.
- Participate in commissioning activities, verifying system performance, functionality and compliance.
- Collaborate with installers, project managers, engineers and field technicians to resolve technical issues and ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor charger performance, respond to alerts, investigate faults and assist in technical issue resolution.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer and project sites.
- Understanding of electrical systems, switchboards and communications protocols.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
