Telehealth Doctor (Remote Contractor)

About the role

Alternaleaf is seeking experienced, AHPRA‑registered doctors to join its fully remote telehealth team. The role involves delivering safe, evidence‑based consultations to patients across Australia, primarily during evening shifts, with a start date from October onward.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality telehealth consultations (10‑minute slots, 4‑6 patients per hour).
• Perform clinical assessments, prescribe S4 & S8 medications, and arrange follow‑up consults.
• Collaborate closely with nurses and doctor support teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain complete, compliant documentation in a digital‑first environment.
• Utilise digital tools and telehealth platforms to optimise patient outcomes and service efficiency.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with unrestricted AHPRA registration (minimum PGY4).
• Proven ability to manage fast‑paced, digital‑first consultations.
• Strong knowledge of privacy laws, RTPM, S8 regulations and medico‑legal obligations.
• Excellent time‑management, punctuality and reliability.
• Commitment to evidence‑based, harm‑reduction clinical practice.

Required skills

• Proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Experience navigating multiple digital health tools efficiently.
