Team Manager - Defence Theatre Logistics

About the role

Toll Group is looking for a Team Manager to lead its Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL) warehouse team at HMAS Penguin in Mosman, NSW. The role covers warehouse operations, inventory control, freight handling and the safe movement of Defence-related equipment and materials. It is based in a team-first, safety-focused environment and requires Australian citizenship and eligibility for an Australian Government security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, storing, picking, packing and distribution of Defence equipment and supplies.
• Ensure all work complies with Toll Government and Defence contractual requirements, Defence regulations, safety protocols and operational standards.
• Receive, store, pick, pack and dispatch Defence equipment and supplies.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Use warehouse systems to manage stock accurately and act on reports.
• Maintain safety standards, site cleanliness and compliance with Defence regulations.
• Work with the team to achieve operational targets, reporting to the Customer Service Manager.

Required profile

• Experience in warehousing, logistics or related industries.
• Australian citizen eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Defence Security Clearance (baseline level or higher).
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks including criminal history and medical assessment.
• Valid C class driver's licence and physical fitness for manual handling.

Required skills

• Forklift licence (current or willingness to obtain one).
• Microsoft Office suite and WMS (ERP) computer literacy.
• Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, attention to detail and time management.
