Team Leader – HR Assist

About the role

The Team Leader, HR Assist will head a small, dedicated first‑point‑of‑contact team that handles HR queries across the department. This is an ongoing, full‑time position within a high‑performing, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the HR Assist team, which operates the centralised HR telephone and email service.
• Coach and manage support officers handling payroll, recruitment, learning, performance, health, safety, wellbeing, workplace relations, leave and other entitlements.
• Ensure timely responses to manager and employee queries in line with established service standards.
• Develop and implement triage processes to route transactional queries to specialist areas and provide escalation for complex issues.

Required profile

• Exemplary customer‑service experience in a help‑desk or service environment.
• Extensive knowledge of contemporary HR practices and familiarity with HR/payroll systems.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities, including confidential handling of personal data.
• Proven analytical capability to interpret data and produce meaningful reports.
